CrossFit is the Most Effective Exercise Plan in the World
CrossFit a workout based on constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. Far more than a group fitness class, CrossFit is individual coaching in a group setting.
Workouts are different every day; intense; but altered for each participant’s level. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. Intensity is essential for results and is measurable as work divided by time—or power. By employing a constantly varied approach to training, functional movements and intensity lead to dramatic gains in fitness.
Each CrossFit class is one hour in length and taught by 1-2 coaches. Classes include a warm-up, a skill or strength component, a metabolic conditioning (metcon) workout and a cool-down. You will be coached throughout each portion so you are never on your own. Each workout can be modified to fit your current experience level.
What you should expect:
CrossFit classes focus on a well rounded workout. From the daily metcon, which will be the conditioning you need to see results, to weightlifting and skill work that will focus on a movement or area you might not try on your own. CrossFit classes also allow for a fun environment where you get to work out with other members who will push you to be better, and will cheer you on every step of the way.
Why you should participate:
Participating in CrossFit will allow you to meet your goals of fitness, whether that be trying something new, gaining strength or losing weight. The daily coach lead classes will give you the motivation to make CrossFit fit into your personal fitness goals
