What year did you start CrossFitting?
Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?
I played soccer since my youth all the way up until I graduated high school. I didn’t find CrossFit until just after I graduated college, but I felt like an athlete again and I loved that. Going to CrossFit quickly became the best hour of my day. Even now, several years from when I started, as a wife and Mother of two young children, I am still in the best shape of my life!
Why did you become a trainer?
CrossFit changed the fitness industry, making everyday people feel like athletes and improving their lives beyond the fitness spectrum. Simply put, CrossFit makes us better at life! I wanted others to fall in love with CrossFit as much as I had and see how much their lives could improve as well, building a lifetime love of fitness and making lifelong friends along the way. At CrossFit Helix, it is our mission to make class “the best hour of YOUR day” and it’s a huge privilege to be able to cultivate an environment like that for our athletes.
What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?
Squats are life!
What is your favorite cheat food?
Pizza and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
What’s your favorite Superhero and why?
Deadpool because he doesn’t take himself too seriously and has a good sense of humor.
