A few weeks ago, Coach Lane approached us with an idea to bring you all a way to achieve better range of motion on a daily basis and offering a dedicated time or more opportunities to get in more detailed and specific mobility. Get out some mats, lay on the floor and stretch, smash and crush your problem spots that may or may not be giving you a difficult time when you are snatching, overhead squatting or doing kipping pull-ups.
So without further ado, we give you ROMWOD!
The ROMWOD programming is aimed to help you:
- Boost Performance: Increased range of motion can generate power and promote efficiency of functional movements through improved position and posture.
- Optimize Range of Motion: Range of Motion is optimized through the strengthening of ligaments and tendons while simultaneously removing excess fascia through specific stretching routines.
- Accelerate Recovery: Recovery is increased through the natural release of hyaluronic acid while simultaneously resetting the central nervous system.
ROMWOD Classes and Access at Helix
Starting in April, we will now be offering a dedicated class time for ROMWOD on Thursdays at 5:30am, 7:30am, 4:30pm and 5:30pm on the Black side. This will be a 50 minute class. The computer on the Black side will be set up for you and and ready to go. You’ll show up, get a mat and get to work.
Furthermore, you will also have access to a daily 20-minute ROMWOD sesh that you will be able to start whenever you’d like that we will also have queued up and ready go for all your mobility needs. After the WOD, or whenever you need some extra mobility — it’s all yours!
We’re including the ROMWOD classes on Thursday and unlimited access to the ROMWOD library on the Black side as a perk for all our Helix athletes! #levelingup
